What is Remi
Remi hair is the premium quality of hair and is known as virgin hair. The hair-bundle is arranged in the same direction with the cuticles intact. Friction among the hairs are practically zero. This makes the hair tangle free and long lasting.
What is a weft?
Weft or Weaving hair is sewn at the top by machine or hand. Each weft weighs approximately 4 ounces.
How many ounces do I need?
For a full head of hair (front to back), requires 8 ounces or two bundles. To add fullness to your own hair, requires 4 ounces.
What is the life expectancy of Remi hair?
6 to 12 months for well maintained hair. Conditioning is the key.
Can it be roller set or crimped?
Yes.
I am very active, will the hair mat or nap up?
No.
Does the hair shed?
No.
What is the best way to apply my weft?
There are a few different techniques to weft application. One of the recommended ways is as follows: Corn-roll your natural hair from front to back instead of the conventional side to side (ear to ear). Sew all hanging braid strands in the back of head towards the front (forward) onto previous braids. Criss-cross onto head if necessary for longer hair. You may leave some of your own hair out or unbraided in front and/or the nape of your neck for a more natural look. Proceed to sew the weft in side to side (ear to ear). This technique will drastically reduce lumps, and will be virtually undetectable.
How do I care for the hair?
For best results, use only quality shampoos and conditioners. The more concentrated the better.
When do I reapply my extensions/wefts?
Everyone’s new growth is different. It depends on how fast your own hair grows. Every other month, give or take a few days, is the general time span.
How do I care for my own hair?
To keep your natural hair healthy and to prevent dryness, hot oil treatments, concentrated shampoo and conditioner should be applied when the weft is out and braids are down.
What is a Lace Front Wig?
Lace Fronts are 100% Human Hair wigs. The cap materials are made up of a delicate lace, with enough recession for a natural look.
What is the life expectancy of the Lace Front Wig?
Up to 5 years maintained.
Can I sleep in it?
Yes. With care. Try to sleep with a satin pillow case or scarf.
Can you hot curl or dye ?
Yes.
Are there different types of Fronts?
Yes. Swiss Lace for Caucasian pigmentation, French Lace for darker pigment and Skin Front wigs as well.
Can I trim or cut my Lace Front ?
Yes. Trim your lace front to your own hairline, a little at a time to insure the proper recession.
Can you use Remi Hair for braiding?
Yes. 100% human hair can come weft free for French braiding styles (corn rolls) or fusion.
